A few weeks ago I hired my new assistant-her name is Amy Fox-she is awesome! I am so glad that she is a part of the CCS Athletic program. Interesting and proud fact about her-her Dad is or-as of this morning-was Terry Hoeppner-former head football coach of Indiana University.
I have read article after article today of Terry’s life and his legacy that he has left at Miami University & Indiana. One was quoted saying that Coach Hep did “more for Indiana in two short years than people that have been at Indiana for 20-30 years.” People have stated that if you just spend one minute with Coach Hep-you were left feeling happy and ready to conquer the world. His motto at Indiana was “Never Give Up!” He did that until his last breath.
I know Amy-his daughter-and she has alot of Coach Hep in her! His life has touched thousands of people around the country. Strong values, discipline and a love for people and football!
May we all strive, when our life ends here on earth, to leave with such a legacy that Coach Hep has!! Here’s to you Coach! Go Hoosiers!
